FROM PANDEMICS TO INFODEMICS: A NETNOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS ON A COVID-19 FACEBOOK SITE

This study aims to gain insight into Covid-19 infodemic in online communities. For this purpose, a netnographic was conducted on specific Facebook site broadcasting Turkish language. In context, what kind of content people are exposed site, how they react the contents and participate discussions, these content, discussions differ from those around world were examined. As result thematic coding, it seen that themes concentrated 9 main themes: Precautions, Emotions, Government / Governance, Medicine Science, Conspiracy Theories, Media, Risk, Business Money, Ideology, Religion. When examined terms variety nature, shared shape mainly masks, Bill Gates, irony mockery expressions.
